A Mitsubishi Shogun in monochrome
Mitsubishi shogun sport K90 [1ST GEN] MONOCHROME
BLACK & WHITE
Sometimes black and white is just right, it fits the mood, the subject and the situation. With the Shogun being silver it carries a monochrome image well and although I don’t shoot black and white regulalry there are some occasions when it is the better option [IMO]
Below is a selection of images shot both indoor and outdoor with the SLVR Fx gallery images being taken in situ in a warehouse setting.
Shot in monochrome these black and white’s were a quick shoot inside a working warehouse in early 2021. The approach was to get close and feature the Mitsubishi from a range of angles concentrating on the details and lines of the vehicle with a suggestion of an urban setting.
I did not move the vehicle at all, instead just walking around to see which angles would work best, post processing involved a heavy vignette to focus on the main subject of the image.
jumping over to fujifilm
Most of the images on this page were shot using an old Pentax DSLR [K3]. In 2022 however I started shooting with Fuji – the X100v to be exact.
This camera has changed my approach to photography completely which has resulted in a more relaxed attitude, it enables me to shoot jpeg SOOC and have something which can come with me almost every time I leave the house. Fuji black and whites are exceptional as is colour rendition in general, the fixed lens unit has allowed for more creativity behind the camera. Find us on Youtube
