Urban Tactical Belt by Helikon Tex – Is it any good?

Urban Tactical Belt by Helikon Tex – Is it any good?

The Urban Tactical belt by Helikon Tex is one of the more budget friendly belts in their range and is super strong with a reliable buckle.

Another addition to the Helikon Tex collection, I am really enjoying this brand from Poland and while a belt may seem like a small thing I thought it ws worth a quick review as it really does do the business and comes in sensible sizes for us big guys too.

Why the urban tactical belt

Any company that makes a belt up to 150cm gets a thumbs up from me. My intention was to invest in a decent leather belt which I probably will still do but finding one in a big size was proving very difficult unless it was custom made to order. A premium grade leather bushcraft belt is on the wishlist for now.

For under €20.00 euros you can’t really go wrong with this nylon belt from Helikon Tex, I needed something that would pass through airport security [which this does] as taking off a belt for me is not an option. I wear my pants oversized as I like the room so removing a belt would spell disaster in a way I won’t even begin to describe…

A quick order online and the belt arrived a couple of days later. It is a simple belt, all nylon with no metal parts. The thickness is 4.5cm which is plenty and the buckle has a locking system which works extremely well indeed, if there is weak point in a belt it’s at the buckle but I’ve been very confident with this one.

Colours & Sizes

The urban tactical belt is available in four colours: black, grey, coyote and olive green

Who is this belt for?

This belt is for anyone who goes for the whole ‘tactical look’ – that’s from an aesthetics standpoint, for functionality the urban tactical belt is suitable for military, forces, survival, urban activities and outdoor enthusiasts [and more].

what is the best tactical belt?

Personally I am using the belt along with my Pilgrim pants for outdoor activities such as wood collection and hiking, the belt may be simple but it works and works well which is exactly what I am after. You also have the added benefit of being able to walk through airport security too without any issues making this belt a good all rounder for tactical, outdoor and daily use.

Belt buckle locks well – no slipping

Overall I’d recommend this belt from Helikon, it’s the budget model yes but its minimal look is good for general use, made purely of nylon too means this belt is super strong.

A good simple belt at a great price point.
